Postillion opens a hotel in the most beautiful spot of Rotterdam

Do you want to wake up with the Coolsingel at your feet? Be sure to book at room at Postillion Hotel Rotterdam soon. Because on April 5 we will be opening a hotel with 168 rooms, right next to the existing convention centre. Ideal if you’re attending a conference, event, or multi-day meeting and equally great to just spend a weekend away. You see, Rotterdam may have the reputation of a blue-collar city, but it is also an excellent place to relax.

Historic location with a modern view

Sleeping at Postillion Hotel Rotterdam means sleeping in a historic location with a modern view. We are located at the Beursplein (exchange square) and the location isn’t called that without reason of course. The site where conventions are now being held, used to be a grain exchange. The particular way the light falls in this building was specifically designed for that activity. That means lots of windows to let in a lot of light. And you’ll feel like a Giraffe at Blijdorp zoo if you turn your head up to the amazingly high industrial ceilings. Those plans, designed by Staal, are now repurposed for your benefit. That lighting we mentioned was a key aspect in the renovation of our conference and meeting centre. Our meeting rooms have been fitted with man-high windows to optimally enjoy that very special city at your feet. In the hotel rooms, the views are equally beautiful.

The hotel hasn’t opened yet, but we have done a guided tour for one guest already: Esther Olofsson, the first virtual influencer of the Netherlands. Don’t have enough time to go into the city because of a scheduled meeting? Not to worry, there is plenty to see inside too. Our Convention Centre is a building that is worth taking your time to look around in. There is plenty of space for virtually any type of gathering: our exchange floor comprises a grand 3,000m2. There is also more than enough space for small meetings or brainstorming sessions. There are as many as 29 rooms available for booking.
